Islam mentions a lot of time mentally ill people, Like how they are free to not fast and other things, And something like not being judged in the afterlife if I'm not wrong.
So I was wondering: What's Allah definition for them? When is a person considered mentally ill? Is there a clear line or test? Or is it based off what's society's standards for the time? Are people with ADHD considered ill in the eyes of Allah?
I was wondering that because human's standards for what is a mentally ill person changes over time and psychological discoveries, for example a person with a specific disorder could've been classified as a normal person 30 years ago.
If there is a hadith or an eya that has the specific definition it'll be nice if you quoted it.
