I have tried finding a ruling on this but it is not anywhere. I am a big supporter of FC Barcelona, (One of the biggest soccer teams in the world). I have recently found out that on their crest, they have what is called the St. George's cross which is basically the same thing as the flag of England. Would it be haram to wear the team's jersey with the crest on it since St. George is a Christian saint and is associated in the crusades against the Muslims? My only intention in supporting or wearing the team's jersey is for sporting reasons. I do not care about the city Barcelona or their religious history.
