Hi everyone, Last year in march I converted to Islam alhamdullilah. I am from south america living in the US and it has been a struggle to be muslim during the pandemic. I've had a female friend from university who helped me through this process and inspired me to become Muslim. I have decided to ask her father today for his family's blessing for me to propose to marry her. However, i understand that there are a lot of cultural traditions when it comes to proposals and marriage in general that are aside from Islam and the Quran. How should I go about this considering I am a revert who isn't 100% knowledgable on the cultural practices. I have been looking in to this for some months now and I wanted to ask during the last Friday of Ramadan. Please, any tips are welcome.
