I have a request.
I'm from a Western European country. I was raised agnostic, so I'm not sure where my belief system lies, I don't subscribe to any particular religion, but I consume a lot of mainstream media.
As you know, mainstream media has a lot to say about your religion, not all of it good. But, I've studied the media agenda and I know how it works. I'm not the type to blindly believe what I'm told, and I know that there's a lot of bias involved in news production.
I don't know anyone who follows Islam personally, and I have a lot of questions and things I'm curious to know, so I thought this might be a safe space to ask. I mean no disrespect at all - all I want to do is learn more, about your beliefs, and your customs, and the meaning and significance behind them. Only through curiosity and openness to each other, we can change the narrative and come together.
So, my question is - what makes Islam beautiful and meaningful to you?
