In sunnan an nisa’i 890 it says that Muhammad PBUH used to point and move the finger. However, I have been taught to only raise it when I say ‘ashadu an la ilaha illa llah’ but I can’t find any Hadith to support this so I think I was doing it wrong my whole life.
What are we supposed to do? And can you also show a Hadith for reference
