Christian means the one who follows Jesus and his teachings. Below are some key teachings which Jesus taught his followers or followed them during his lifetime .If you don't folow them then how can you call yourself a follower?
Circumcision
(Luke 2:21) And when eight days were completed for the circumcision of the Child, His name was called Jesus, the name given by the angel before He was conceived in the womb.
Beliving in one GOD
( Mathew 22:38 ) One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'This is the first and greatest commandment.
Giving greetings when meeting each others
(Luke 24:36) While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” (also translated as Asalam alikum)
who greets each other these days when they see each other , muslims or christains?
muslim despite not knowing arabic still says Asalam alikum when he meets his fellow muslim.
Fasting
(Matthew 4:2) After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.
Worshipping God by bowing down on the ground
(Matthew 26:36-46) Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.” 37 He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled. 38 Then he said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.” 39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me.
How can you pray by going down on the ground other than the way we muslims do?
Saying God Wills (in Sha Allah)
(James 4 13:15 )13 Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” 14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. 15 Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.”
who are the true followers of Isa (AS) , muslims or christians?
