Warning: Rant.
I've been seeing a lot of people around here, and not of the good kind.
Literal CCP propaganda goes unnoticed here. I've seen comments implying that the Uyghur Genocide is a hoax get upvoted. These guys also deny the Tianamen Square Massacre. And most of the time, these people are actual muslims, albeit misguided ones.
There's people that talk about non-muslims like they're subhuman cockroaches that want to erase us from history. Don't really know what's up with them. People throw around 'Kafir' like it's nothing.
Similarly, there was that conspiracy guy from a few days ago who weny apeshit on someone who told him who Anthony Fauci was. Weird.
There's people who defend pedophilia. I responded to one and got (unsurprisingly) downvoted. The same guy also said that forcing non muslims in Islamic countries to wear the hijab is fine. Being conservative is fine, but some of this takes it too far.
IMO the biggest problem with this sub is the downvoting. IIRC, a few months ago, there was a guy who asked about the Godhra train burning and got downvoted and called a BJP bot. People here get downvoted for not having the same opinion as the majority.
For example, people get downvoted for not liking Daniel Haqiqatjou, Erdogan (although, that's died down a bit), Imran Khan ETC. You'll get downvoted for arguing against pedophilia. Almost all criticism of Pakistan is mass downvoted and labeled as indian propaganda. Anything that doesn't fit the narrative is downvoted, similarly to subs like r/Chodi, r/Sino, r/Atheism ETC.
This sub was better back in the early 2010s. I had hope for it after the France situation de-escalated, then this happened.
People here need to grow up. We're better than this.
