For the longest time, I've understood that advising someone or correcting them on their sins or wrong doings would be to do it in a very respectful manner. Not using harsh words, not being sarcastic, not do in public, being calm, and finally to apologize after.

However, my country which is primarily a country with muslims are starting to justify correcting someone in a very harsh manner. Being sarcastic , outright being mean when trying to correct/change/advise someone. Even stitched a video of a ustaz (an islamic scholar of sorts) saying that correcting/advising someone in a sarcastic and demeaning way is okay. Is it?
