In August 2018, a study estimated that more than 24,000 Rohingya people were killed by the Burmese military and local Buddhists since the "clearance operations" started on 25 August 2017. The study also estimated that over 18,000 Rohingya Muslim women and girls were raped, 116,000 Rohingya were beaten, and 36,000 Rohingya were thrown into fires.
Fast forward 2 years and said military overthrows government, the very government which condoned the genocide and blocked efforts for international aid / assistance.
A few dozen people die in protest.
The world cries out and posts about Mynammer’s protest are garnering tens of thousands of support.
Where were all of the protests and support for the genocide that was a 1000 times worse? The world watched silently then and nothing was done about it.
You reap what you sow.
