Tajweed of Ayah 18:36: ir'ru dit-tu or ir'ru did-tu?

So I'm reading Ayah 36 and this came up recently, I thought I was taught that on the dal dal ta (with sukoon), we pronounced it:

ir'ru did-tu

So we catch the first sound on the sukoon as a dal, and after that stop we do a ta, so d-tu.

But someone was telling me that it is a double ta on the sukoon, so that it is:

ir'ru dit-tu

Which one is correct? Have I been understanding it wrong this whole time and I presume there are similar instances say with a thal and a Thaa(heavy) and the Thaa has the sukoon on it, and there is a correct way to say it.
