I'm just a university student looking to write a final paper for a Middle Eastern politics class, and I REALLY wanted to write a paper about meme culture during the Arab Spring as a tool of solidarity against the state apparatuses.
I'm a complete outsider, but if there's someone here who's willing to share what they remember about trajectory of memes during that period, it would be great! If they're willing to chat, then all the better. And if this is the wrong subreddit to post this, please let me know.
