There’s a worrying sense that Muslim girls/women feel disenfranchised in the deen especially in the west. In my opinion in large part because of ignoramuses that weaponise the deen disguising it as naseeha.
Another possibility is that much of the content and language used in talks online is mainly geared towards men, Masjid’s rarely cater to sisters anymore, avenues to seeking knowledge are becoming less, imams are not helping in explaining the roles men and women play in the deen clearly.
So what happens as a result .....
Sisters seek validation elsewhere for e.g Muslim women are welcomed more in the media. Think about how many adverts inc a sister in a hijab these days. Many sisters are the ones at the forefront of certain political and social protests, the fashion industry are using sisters, the prophet is labelled as a feminist, majority of the advocates of things like LGBT and female only mosques.
We need to find a way to include our beloved sisters more and it’s a genuine concern and worry what I’m seeing today because if we’re not careful this could be the beginning of a very slippery slope for generations.
This isn’t a post to attract whataboutism so if that’s all you have then don’t respond pls.
