Salaam, I have been making dua for a spouse for many years. I am now 35 and recently have gone through the worst year of my life, and another new life impacting issue has come into my life and I know there is more to come as this one will have many knock on affects. Praying for a spouse now breaks my heart and I don’t have much in me to keep thinking about it. I have faith in Allah, inshallah he will give me a wife, but I am at a point where I don’t want to care or really invest emotions thinking about it. Can I simply just stop making dua for it? And just move on with my life? If it happens it happens....
