This may be obvious to a lot of you but It just became obvious to me recently and I wish I had learned about this much sooner. I wish the topic of interest was spoken about so much that it would be one of those videos by Islamic YouTube channels which would just be recommended to you without having to search it up specifically.
Somehow humanity, with all the smart and gifted minds that have come before and are present currently, has still let such an evil and fraudulent system prevail and become so widespread and it just testifies that Allah is Al-Hakeem having prohibited interest in the Quran. Of course there's also the whole matter of the prophet predicting and warning us about interest which just further cements Islam as the truth.
So many times Islam just makes so much sense that its mind-blowing. The topic of interest just happened to be the most recent one which has blown me away and I just wanted to get off my chest how much I regretted not understanding just how bad it was until recently. It's no wonder that even the people who just record the interest dealings are considered to be sinning lmao.
You know when I started university my mum would always say all the loans you're taking are bad but she never really said it with a lot of concern (these were extra loans different from the tuition fee loans which were not necessary) and me being the arrogant idiot I am I always just thought "yeah I suppose it's bad because the religion says it is but it can't be that bad you know. I'm already gonna be 27k in debt by the end of university, what's an extra few thousand? It's all just free money anyway".
Soon I'll be the proud owner of a degree which will allow me to slave away for 40+ hours working a job which I most likely won't like all that much despite having gotten a degree in something which interests me, making mediocre money and then not having anytime to use that money because I'll be working so long.
Anyway hopefully god forgives me for my arrogance and the interest based loans I have taken part in and if you have kids teach them about interest and work before they decide if they want to go university or not. If you are someone who reads this and is yet to go uni please do your research on the topic and figure out what you would enjoy doing as a job and see if it even requires a degree you know. I can't speak for other countries but in the UK through school and the education system it was just embedded in my head that University is the BEST option yes there are alternatives to uni but uni was the main focus and always prioritised but now I'm starting to see that no it really isn't the best option its just one of many options.
