If you had kids, what approach, if any, you'd take to ward them off drugs?

I hope you're well.

I had a recent conversation with someone about drugs and how it has become a bigger problem recently with the youth in my area. I don't have kids myself, but I was thinking theoretically.... if I had kids, I'd take this approach to hopefully, with the aid of Allah, ward them off drugs.

I'd teach them about drugs in detail, like a powerpoint with slides, pictures, videos and the whole thing. This drug looks like this, can be taken like this, does this to you, highly or lowly addictive..... etc.

I think if they really knew what's being offered to them, they'd be more informed to the consequences of accepting that offer, than if I just keep them in the dark and be contended with saying: "kids, don't do drugs".

What's your take on it? And if anybody here has experience on the topic, please share.
