Hey everybody. First, I am pretty nervous about what I am going to wrote in here. I met Muslim man in my job about year or so ago and we became friends, pretty close ones actually.
And lets say that he struggles heavily here, because she cannot find wife. It's not that he would be ugly or without manners and stuff like that. No, it's beacause in my country the culture is different. It goes like you get a partner and you are with them for certain period of time and then you either marry them or try to find another one. Simply if it works out or not, but no one really get married in short period of time and also....I am writing from the Czech Republic, it's as atheistici as it gets, so people are even resered to jump into relationship where are rules which they do not know/understand.
Few years ago I've wrote here, about how I throw a party for local mosque, so my reaction to him opening to me is "go there they will help you", well it didn't work out for a variety of reasons.
So I as an ignorant person trying to find some way to make him happy, he is lately really depressed (and well, I understand the inner calling of men, etc). You are really not allowed to have a partner, live with her/him and just like....wait for marriage?
I am asking in a good faith, I try to help. Also if I can ask, please refrain of criticizing different culture, because for me having this culture helped me a lot with my issues and yeah.
And I also feel vulnerable, before you guys and gals, but hopefully we can have a normal conversation.
He was born in Oman and currently resides in Prague. It's an awesome college and friend, so I am just trying to work out something.
