I live in Vietnam and one of the most important holidays they have here is Tet. This is the end of the lunar new year according to the Vietnamese calendar and is usually a time when families will celebrate, have special foods and there are numerous traditions around this holiday too.
Now whilst a lot of the Muslims here do seem to celebrate Tet, I’m wondering how halal or haraam this actually is, given there are a lot of distinctly non-Islamic traditions and practices around the holiday (such as eating pork or worshipping ancestors).
