I am a 25 year old man. I live with my parents because times are tough. I am currently trying to get disability for medical reasons. I have always been Monotheistic. I believe in a single God. But I became disillusioned with Christianity. I feel that they have lost touch with what the real Jesus said, and I firmly believed that Jesus was but a man. I do some research on Islam in my reading hours. However most of what I know is from biographies of the Prophet, and of history of the Islamic empires and caliphates. I know some of Islam's tenants. Fasting during Ramadan. No pork (I am a vegetarian and I don't drink alchohol.) Pray 5 times a day. But I wouldn't say I'm extremely knowledgeable. Another problem is that if I converted, my mom would be ok with it, but I know my step-dad wouldn't. It's hard because I can't currently move out. Anyway, I'd just like to get y'alls input on this.
