To me they feel like a hate group under the guise of followers of the Muslim faith. But maybe my perspective is warped due to being an outsider (or whatever you'd call a non-Muslim). I have a lot of respect for the peaceful Muslim community, but so far the NOI doesn't seem to be doing a good job of representing the beautiful things about Islam.
But what are your thoughts? Am I right in believing they are horrible and a hinderance to the progress of humanity, or am I misunderstanding them?
