As-salamu alaykum!
I am a Jew and will be hosting a Muslim in my home in the coming days, including Friday. She will be joining in Jummah prayer at her Mosque via Zoom, and she has invited me to join her. I believe that Muslims pray to the same G-d as the Jews, the singular force which has built this world and enabled forgiveness and peace upon it. I would like to join her in her Jummah prayers, not only because I like her a lot but also because I believe that Islam is a phenomenon by which G-d brought idolators to the truth. Is this acceptable, or is this a ritual in which only Muslims should take part? Can a Jew pray among you, or are the doors of Jummah sealed to only Muslims? I will not take offense at any answer. My only goal is to draw closer to G-d while avoiding offense to His worshippers who developed this particular form of devotion.
Regardless of your answer, or if you do not answer at all, I beg you to pray that my participation in this prayer, or my study outside this prayer, brings me to the righteous path which the Almighty has ordained for me. His will is all that is good for me. I seek only to follow His will as best I can. All that is good in my life, I owe to Him!
