Salam Alaykum.
I'm in my 20's (male) and I converted around 2 years ago and i'm from a country where it's very rare to be circumcised, so it didn't happen to me.
I've searched a bit online and from what I've found is most people don't think it's obligatory, I would go and ask an imam but I don't want to risk the peoples lives and my family's lives during the pandemic (since I would have to take subway there, high risk of getting covid-19)
Now the thing why i'm asking is because i'm scared to death of doing it, just the thought of doing it makes me paranoid(if that's the correct word)
There's no doubt in my beliefs at all, I am just so scared of doing it, I have no idea why really, maybe it's subconscience since it's a sensitive area but I really can't do it, it's not even a question. I know that I will never be able to do it...
I've thought about it before I became a muslim (because I was already interested in the religion but my friend said I "absolutely have to get circumcised" to be a muslim.
So my question is the title, hopefully someone has knowledge about this Inshallah
