Why should I believe in Mohammad (help)

1. I have Muslim friends and respect the religion
2. This isn’t an attack, I just want some help

I’m just feeling more and more like I can’t believe in this religion unfortunately. I just don’t see why we should have faith in Mohammad. I’m Christian and I’m trying to better understand the faith.

So, my disbelief comes in when Mohammad died he was poisoned. By a Jewish women during dinner, who made lamb. Mohammad had killed her entire family so she did this. And wanted to also see if he was the prophet and could survive. When the women said he was being poisoned, Mohammad said “But Allah wouldn’t let that happen!” Did he just not know Allah well enough?

Taking a step back for a moment, Mohammad had always claimed “If im the false prophet God will kill me through my right side of the heart” and after he was poisoned? The right side of his heart felt ripped out. Shouldn’t that say he was lying and God really did give him what he was always saying?

Also, hasn’t Mohammad used “I’m the prophet” to sin? He had like 10 wives when you are only supposed to have no more than 4, right? So why is he able to break these rules?

I’m sorry but I just don’t see why we should believe in Mohammad. Can anyone give my some guidance?
