Because we like to portray him alive - in our lives. Each one of us emulates him in some degree. And we know people who do so almost perfectly. They dress like him, eat like him, walk and talk like him, go about everything in life following how prophet went about it. Who else has been portrayed alive like him ﷺ, that too for so many centuries?
