So to start off I'll state I'm muslim, although I will say I follow all of the rules. I don't eat pork and I do fast from time to time but I do drink alcohol as well but back to the song... The song I'm talking about is Lupe Fiasco's "Muhammed walks".. so I had this convo with my cousin and he seemed to debate that the song is fine and great because you can make songs about Muhammed.. which I said you're technically not allowed to idolize Muhammed which would kind of make the song not a good look. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSIkgRLdWYQ
Also I had another question.. what's the whole situation regarding not being able to listen to music? I remember one time a pretty devout muslim telling me it's haram to listen to music which kind of shocked me because of how popular middle eastern and etc... music is.
