Hi!

I have some trouble understanding and acting upon verse 4:60 in the Quran, it goes:

” Have you ˹O Prophet˺ not seen those who claim they believe in what has been revealed to you and what was revealed before you? They seek the judgment of Taghut (false judges), which they were commanded to reject. And Satan only desires to lead them farther away” (4:60)

Does these ”false judges” in the verse refer to judges like the ones in courts of secular countries around the world? Does this mean that going to courts of these countries is an act of shirk? If so, does this also forbid the contracts we enter by our use of phones, websites and even tv? Because whenever we enter a website or buy a product like a channel, an app, a phone, tv and so on, we do enter an agreement or a contract, also known as ”Terms of use” or ” Terms of service”. Within these terms, there is a section about ”governing law” which we have to accept or agree whom says something like “any legal dispute that rises out of the agreement shall be taken to the court of X (country) (whom the majority are not judging with sharia).

There are people whom call these actions (including the mentioned type of agreements & contracts) acts of shirk. Some say it’s shirk because it counts as ”authorizing” courts/judges (which according to them is an act of shirk). I’m not sure if there is any ”authorizing” when committing these actions though.

What’s your view regarding this? Different interpretations confuse me about what sharia and taghut means.
