Assalamu alaikum, as it is now the month of November and many are participating in "no-nut November", I had a masturbation related question. I am 22 years old and to this point I have lived a pure life as a Muslim. I fulfill my obligations (prayer, fasting, zakat, etc..) I have never given into the temptations of alcohol, drugs and I've never eaten pork. And I have never had pre-marital sex (i am virgin).
However, I do have an addiction to masturbation and porn. I watch porn and masturbate almost daily since I was 16. To me it is therepeutic and stress relieving. No one knows that I do this and it is a sin that is between me and God only. As it is no-nut November, I am going to once again to attempt to abstain from masturbation but I do not know if I can do it.
My question is: how haram is this, will I be sent to hell for this one flaw in my lifestyle? My intentions are definitely to stop watching porn and masturbation. So will Allah swt forgive me bc I have good intentions? I know once I'm married, I will fulfill my sexual desires by having sex with my wife, but as of now my hormones make it so difficult for me.
