Is it permissable to buy/sell Pokemon cards for profit. Or does it count as gambling?

I know this is a bit of a weird question. But I want to be 100% sure it doesn't fall into the category of gambling. I was planning to try and invest in Pokemon cards as some of them sell for a decent amount of money. My only concern is the random factor of buying packs/sets of cards with the intention of hoping you get the rare/valuable cards so you can make a profit.

Part of me thinks it should be fine because in the end you are still getting a product you paid for which costs the same regardless of it if has more valuable cards in it or not. But I just want to be sure. Thanks.
