Recently, I've been looking into different beliefs and mythologies. I want to learn the stories, myths, characters, etc of the major religions. I'm studying Christianity at the moment and I understand how the Bible is laid out (probably because I've grown up with the Bible) but I don't understand a thing as to how Islam studying works.

I was wondering how to study the Islamic creation myth, stories, etc... Google hasn't helped me at all. I don't know what books to read first or what books contain what information. I read that the Qur'an is a book on everyday life, but when I downloaded an app to read it the book made no sense to me. Again, I'm mostly looking for whatever teaches creation and history, but if I need to read all religious scripts I will.

So, are there any good apps or websites I can use to study the beliefs of it? What scripts should I read? What scripts should I read first? I'm intrigued by other cultures and beliefs and I think learning the most popular religions would be amazing for the open-mind.

(If you haven't noticed yet, I'm a native English speaker so I would need sources written in English or translated to English)
