Surah Alfatihah is the opening chapter of the Quran which muslims are required to recite in every Rak'ah (single unit of Islamic prayers) and we are obligated to pray 5 times every day. We also have been memorizing the Quran by heart, since the time of the prophet. We have a system that have ensured it's safety from alteration. Alhamdulillah (All thanks and glory belong to Allah).
This Engraving consists of two parts. The first part is Surah Alfatihah and the other part is a message from that brother to the people who read this engraving.
In his message, he says "written by Yazid son of Abdullah on the day of Tuesday from Rajab in the Year of 130 Hijri and may Allah have mercy on whoever reads this engraving and curse whoever changes it, Ameen."
For those who don't know, muslims have their own calendar called Hijri that is based on the beginning of the pilgrimage of Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him, his companions and his family. Christians use the sun to determine the date and we use the moon. Today is 20 Safar, 1442 Hijri.
May Allah have mercy on our Brother Yazid son of Abdullah and grant him good deeds from unexpected sources and a high level in Jannah (Paradise) Inshallah (If Allah wills). May he also forgive him for the things that he had done wrong and compensate for any person who he have wronged Inshallah.
