Ruling on men wearing skinny/tight jeans?

Assalamalikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Baraktuh

What is the ruling on men wearing skinny jeans? Personally; my skinny jeans tend to be very tight towards my awrah(between navel and knees) so I wear a kurta on top of it—in order to protect my awrah. As a result, I vehemently despise wearing skinny pants and short shirts. Am I being too extreme regarding this? Because my mother prefers for me to wear pants and a shirt while going outside and says that my jeans are not that tight, however, I beg to differ.
