Assalamualaykum

My understanding is that in the Quran it says that we can eat meat given to us by the Ahlul-Kitab (Jews, Christians, sabians). I forgot what verse specifically so if someone could cite it that would be great. Sabians dont really exist anymore im pretty sure, and jews have kosher meat which is halal. So what about Christians? As far as i know there is nothing differentiating christian meat from non-ahlul kitab meat as there is no specific way for slaughtering animals in christianity. Is the islamic criteria for christian meat just meat given to us by christians, or did Christians once practice kosher or something similar and that has fallen out of practice?
