As the title says, every time I read news articles or nearly any even remotely islam-related post on ANY subreddit that isn’t run by Muslims for Muslims, the comments are always filled with so many out of context ayats, “hur dur, religion of peace” remarks, and Orientalism up the wahoo. It just infuriates me to see this so often. To even attempt to respond to any of these people would absolutely require the patience and time for teaching them enough info on their misunderstandings to fill over 10 massive college level courses.
What did the Sahaba do with similar situations? What is the guidance on how to mentally and emotionally handle these instances, especially when they’re becoming ever so more common and pronounced?
