Are Military men in your countries on average more secular or more religious ?

My father(a former Naval officer) and I were talking last night about the current Frankifacation that Macron wants to implement for French Muslims(make the Azan be called in French, make Qurans all be in French and have French nationalism be shoved into Islam) and he absolutely agreed with it, in fact he said that Pakistan should do the same thing and I was very upset about this but his view among Military men in Pakistan in not too uncommon

I come from a family where many men serve in the Army and Navy of Pakistan going high as officers to NCO's and some Sepoys and have friends whose families are also in the Pakistani Armed Forces

the one's who go the Military are more often then not the most secular members of my family who frequently get into arguments with the more religious members of family, my father has often arguments with his brother(whose a computer scientist) about Islam and state and same worldview applies with some of my cousins, one my cousins served in the Army for a couple years(never reaching officer) but still has the same beliefs as my father and Uncle

It's often joked the Army is the largest secular organization in Pakistan
