Addressing the Military incompetency of most Muslim nations and what can be done to change the situation

Now I am not a military expert by any means just someone who reads a little to much for my own too good sometimes, most of my information comes for 3 books in particular "Arabs at war" "Armies of Sand: The Past, Present, and Future of Arab Military Effectiveness" and "Military capabilities of post-colonial nations"

this has really nothing to do with religion of race as much as culture and structure

Basically the current standard of world militaries is based on a European model that developed over the course of hundreds of years, most Islamic states in many cases didn't have proper standing armies, they had feudal levy forces that were called upon and disbanded, like the current concept of what we consider an army didn't really exist for them

When the colonial powers left, the militaries that were formed for the newly independent nations in many cases started from the ground up, just a vague model idea that could not be implemented properly and without a real leg to stand on, that was the case of most Arab militaries, Iran and turkey were exempt from this cause in the 19th century they both implemented reforms to give them a European style military but far more naturally and without a doubt in the Muslim world regardless of your opinion on them Iran and Turkey have the best functioning Armed forces, Pakistan may come third but still much below Iran and Turkey

Its what lead to situations like the US forces overthrowing the whole of Batthist Iraq with in a month, Chad managing to push out Libya or groups like ISIS and other rebels forces managing to carve significant pieces of Iraq and Syria and more famously the Arab Israeli wars

we cannot let this go on, as long as the sorry state of Muslim militaries exist countries can very well easily be pushed around first by the West or by China and in the case of the Middle east Israel, complete military reformations have to be implanted Pakistan also has some advantages cause we inherited the Sikh army and later Punjab army structure that devoleped over a hundred years
