This is an amazing Ayah. Allah says وَقَدِّمُوا لِأَنفُسِكُمْ . and he leaves out what to bring forth. I know in the english translations above it says "something good" but Allah leaves it blank. Perhaps Allah wants us to be mindful of what is needed in our relationship with our wives and bring forth whatever is needed. Sometimes its money, sometimes it kindness, sometimes it's help and sometimes it could be decisiveness.
