Question: If the Christians state that they had authors write the bible (it’s not a word from Allah), then how are they really similar?

For example, the story of Adam is featured both in the Quran and the Bible. What do the ‘authors’ mean to us in our religion? I’m a student at a Catholic school where we have to take religion classes. In these classes, I’ve learned a lot about Christianity and it’s helped me strengthen my Iman since it contradicts itself in every book and testament. Additionally, Islam makes the most sense. But it’s consequently brought up a lot of questions. I am a Muslim and I’m just seeking clarification as I want to have a better understanding of Islam.

Side note: if any Christian is reading this: ‘you have your belief and I have mine’; you can put your opinion in and I’ll respond to it and respect it. Maybe the Quran makes less sense to you and I and I’m sure many others would like to hear your insight as to why you think so.
