Asslamu Alaikum السلام عليكم
I didn't watch the movie ( nor do I recommend you do either)
This french movie has very questionable portrayals of 11 year old girls. ( who are actually played by 11 year olds)
You might be asking what does this have to do with r/islam ? well , one of them is a child muslim ( aka "Ami" ) who is part of a "traditional/conservative/close-minded" family. ( there's a scene where an older "muslim" woman is saying : the devil dwells in the bodies of uncovered woman , thus we must preserve our decency and obey our husbands" )
i'm not going to go into how wrong that statment is and the ACTUAL fiqh/فقه Islam teaches, here's the point:
"Ami" then falls upon another young girl ( with shorts and low top- keep in mind this is a child ) dancing proactively , who introduces her to her other friends. She decides to join her and her dance crew. She removed the hijab by this point and joins in on the provocative dancing. ( very brief summary of the scenes I saw)
I honestly cannot stress how disgusting the dancing is unless you see it for yourself. At times I felt I had to look away. One scene had them dancing to security guards ( keep in mind , THESE ARE CHILDREN ) so that they could get out of trouble. Another scene , "Ami" takes a picture of her genitals and shares it online. Also , the girls discuss the size of their brother's penises, and at some point one of them dare's the other to take a picture a penis. Really at this point it couldn't get worse etc.. etc..
Regardless of "ami" being a muslim or not, this film is so so so wrong on so so many levels. You really won't comprehend it unless you see some of the scenes in it. I'd recommend watching one of the youtube commentary community take on it to get a better picture than what I wrote here ( a picture- or in this case a video- is better than a thousand words)
personally , I cannot give money to a company who does these kinds of movies ( nor keep them on their platform ) , and who also fully support LGBTQADWP or whatever is left of the alphabet.
