Assalamu Alaikum Brothers and Sisters,
I've been digging, and trying to find answers about halal mortgages in Canada. The conclusion I've come to is that, really, there isn't an option, and that most offered (exception few, e.g. Ansar Housing COOP) deal with some sort of riba. I've also dug through the previous reddit posts as well to see if I could find anything. I'm based in BC, so the Ansar option won't really work given the price of housing over here (als. I know Manzil has been thrown about, but, it's still in the process of a kick starter campaign, and it's not really clear yet, though I hear they are certified. Could I ask if any of you (particularly in Canada) have had any success with halal mortgages?
