Lets say You are paying $5 to buy a box. It contains something from the store but you don’t know what it is and its value. Would that be haram? It always gives you something of unknown value.
I am trying to convince my parents that it is haram, how can I explain it? They keep saying lottery and gambling is haram but this isn’t, yet these are pretty much a part of gambling.
