As the title states, I'm married to an atheist, and we have two children together. We've been together 14 years, and I became interested in Islam 3 years ago, and have quite a strong understanding of it at this point.
I moved to his country 11 years ago to escape a very small but extremely abusive (incredibly toxic) family, so I have no family to go to whatsoever in both my adoptive and native country. I have no money, no job, nothing, so leaving my husband is not possible as I don't have the financial means to do so, although I would if I could so I could practice Islam.
So what happens to people like us? Do we just abandon the idea of Islam and we go to hell or is this a particular kind of test? I don't understand
