So I just wanted to get this off my chest, since it has been bothering me for quite some time now. To start off, I have white skin, am Muslim and of Turkish descent and live in Germany. Now for quite some time now I’ve noticed a trend of these so called “Muslim tik toks” (I think a lot of you guys know what kind of tik toks I’m referring to). Most of the time they’re mixing up their culture with Islam and portraying our religion as such, which is very wrong imo. One thing I’ve noticed in these videos is how they’re separating Muslims and white people. For example they would make a video first portraying “white people” and then “Muslims”. Since I’m both, I used to call these people out in the comments. Now there’s the bad part. I got a lot of messages from other Muslims, unfortunately mostly black Muslims LITERALLY saying “you can’t be racist towards white people” using all kinds of different arguments to justify this (imo) ignorant and racist claim. Now what I’m thinking is, how would’ve our beloved prophet muhammad pbuh responded to this? I really can’t think that he’d agree with that statement. But since this statement got a lot of approval from other people I’m thinking that maybe I’m missing out on something? I’d be really glad if someone can enlighten me in this matter, salaam.
Edit: It was not in tik tok, I don’t use that platform. It was on Instagram and these people were adults (they mostly had a public profile)
