Since when does Islam promote this? I have an abusive parent and apparently I will go to hell for leaving them instead of facing the torture till the day they die. I somehow must visit them even though I will be physically and mentally hurt if I do because this is according to the commenter “my moms wish” even though she never said that. This user lied about my mom which I won’t tolerate. My mother is a woman of truth and would tell me if she wanted me to come back. She doesn’t want that yet somehow this commenter knows my own mom better than me and called her a liar. God gave me a perfect opportunity to leave my bad situation a while back so I wouldn’t have to endure what I can’t handle anymore.
Moms are placed on the highest pedestal in Islam. He disrespected her and claimed to be Muslim. Quoting man made websites and claiming them to be authentic Hadith and Quran quotations is another issue. He literally pretended to know my own life and situation better than me.
It isn’t haram to leave abusive parents if they are making me this unhappy in an unjust way. The first commenter who replied to me answered this beautifully. I have done nothing wrong. All I did was move out and I’m an adult. I’m unable to contact my mom because she isn’t allowed to leave the house because of my dad and she can’t have access to the Internet or else I would call her 10 times a day may Allah bless her.
