“A time will come to people when a man will go around with gold to give in charity but he will find no one to accept it, and a single man will be seen followed by forty women seeking refuge with him due to the scarcity of men and abundance of women" I believe the hadith was. I researched if it was literal and the different answers were abundant. Some say that an event will literally kill massive amounts of men (a war or a male-targeting disease), others say that it is a mere increase of female births, and others state that it could mean that there will be so much poverty that only one man out of forty will be able to provide for his family. Please note that I am NOT questioning the credibility of the hadith. Is there any other hadith or soora that mentions this event?
