Is there anybody here who was raised as, or converted to, Orthodox Christianity, and then converted to Islam?
I'm asking because I'm an Orthodox Christian. I've tried to create dialogue with Muslims, however, Orthodoxy is very different from Western Christianity (what most Muslims in the West are familiar with, logically), so many of these Muslims who are nice enough to bother talking to me about it, have no idea what my religion is about in the first place. When both of us don't know what the other's religion is about, the conversation is naturally not very productive. I try not to come pre-loaded with misconceptions, myself.
