I find it very odd that most conservatives in the west are against Islam, and are against Islamic immigration to the country, this confuses me because Islamic ideas about LGBT and other social issues are very similar to that of the western right, but they are against us more than they are against their political opponents. Ironically it’s the pro lgbt, pro abortion side of the political spectrum, usually the left, that is in favour of Islam and Islamic immigration. I really don’t understand why people who would politically agree with Islamic social ideas would be against more Muslims entering the countries, wouldn’t that help their ideas by getting more voters for them?
Do you agree with this assessment or do you think otherwise? If you agree why do you think this is the? Do you think we should try to be allies with the right or the left or neither of them?
