Salam and peace be upon whoever reads. This is my first post in the group and i am not sure many will be able to relate to my predicament but if anyone who has gone through anything similar can offer advice and solace.

My entire family and i have been told many, many times over the years that there is intense black magic done upon us by an apparent close relative. We have seen the effects of the magic growing up and blood stains, cloth tears, etc were so so common to me. In the past 5 years or so, the physical manifestations have stopped.

However, recently when my family went through hardship and general discord between each other, two Aaalims of very high standing in my country informed us yet again when we inquired, that this is cause of severe black magic that apparentlly still exists in our home and upon us.

The past 3-4 days upon the Aaalim's recommendations and my own religious research, i started playing Surah Baqarah on loud in both upper and lower portions of our home for protection of ourseleves from whatever evil spirits there may be around us. Yesterday, i played Ruqiyah (the specific Surahs from the Quran taken specifically to ward off evil/Jinns/Sihr) after Maghreb and after Fajr. For the past 2-3 nights now, i have had the worst, most vivid and visually stimulating nightmares about myself and my mother/our home etc that have resulted in me waking up very sharply, almost with a bang.

I am guessing this is all a result of playing/reciting the Quran out loud and the Ruqyah specifically as it appears to have made the Evil or the Jinnat try and scare me away. (?) I am not too sure why it is that these nightmares have begun. If the Jinn are truly getting agitated by my recitations, i feel slightly worried and scared for myself in the daytime and worry that doing more of this might make them even worse towards me.

What does this mean is going on inside of me for me to be having these dreams all of a sudden?

Anyone who has gone through similar, knows people with such recurring nightmares despite recitations or has any knowledge of any Ahadith, Jazakallah Khairun for your help, advice or stories in advance. x
