When we are faced with Islamophobes what do we do? I recently discovered r/islamunveiled a subreddit of people who preach hate and ignorance on Islam, they are unknowledge on Islam and make false claims that are not backed up with anything, not even their own idiotic “academics.” They are a far-right anti-Muslim hate subreddit. Whenever we PROVE them wrong, they claim we are lying and that it’s permissible to lie about Islam to promote it, which is uneducated because why would you promote something that is false in an attempt to spread it, then you spread a false definition of it and thusly help change its meaning, another logical fallacy by them. In fact they deleted comments from u/honorbonor23, this brother/sister was silenced for trying to have a civil discussion with them and asking for academic sources to back up their claim that “Islam is destructive”, astaghfirullah. In the post that the user who claimed Islam was destructive, he used an image of a modern Islamic country likely. We can assume Syria, Yemen, Palestine, any country where Islam is the dominant religion but we must look at why the country is like this! It is like this because of Western “Christian” Imperialism. I say Christian with the quotes as I don’t believe these governments are Christian rather governed by poor Christian leaders. They make these baseless accusations against Islam without sources and when we disprove them by our own religious texts or by our own hadith, we are apparently lying. I believe it was Imam Omar Suleiman, in an interfaith conversation with a Christian and Jew, who used violence texts as a statistic, and Islam ranked much lower than the Old Testament of Christianity and slightly lower than the New Testament. And many of them claim Atheism yet they give a specific targeted attack against Islam and call us anti-Semites. I can go on and on about this but brothers and sisters it is 4:10 as of now and I must pray Fajr soon. I pray InshAllah that these people will be guided to the straight path, in a peaceful way as most reverts have as it says in Quran 2:256, there is no compulsion in religion.
