Assalamu Alaikum.
Mohammed (PBUH) was the last messenger sent to this earth around 1400 years ago. I keep thinking about a specific verse in the Quran:
Indeed, We sent forth among every nation a Messenger. – Quran 16:36.
If this is true, did Allah send a messenger to the American natives before/during the time of Mohammed PBUH? The religion clearly didn't stay since they had folk religions. Also, if the religion pretty much disappeared early on and future generations did not receive the message, will they be punished? I guess this question could be generalized for anyone who hasn't heard of the message of Allah SWT.
How they will be judged is obviously up to Allah SWT, but is there a hadith about these special cases?
