Serious subject here.

  1. Did the prophet always have his arms open to finding a wife or falling in love with someone while still being married to other wives? Like was he always on edge looking for the new wife?

  2. Also, was any of his marriages because he liked a woman or did it always have to be for political reasons which is what I've read in most cases.

  3. Did he have to ask permission from all the other wives for the most present one?

  4. Islamically speaking, can we marry if there isnt a political reason behind the two or can we just marry because we want to as long as we treat all equally?

  5. Can you marry a second wife for lustful reasons? Or do you have to justify a reason?

I have a wife with kids, I am falling for a co worker who is aware of my family and is willing to accept and leave her past behind.

I want to have her as a second wife but do it the halal way. I'd rather not cheat.

Men are men. All men here can agree this is normal thinking process. I've already made my decision. Question is, I need to understand how the prophet handled all of this. Obviously, I will try to learn the most and make the best of the situation.
