Salam everyone,
Sorry about the vague title, idk how else to really put it haha
Basically, I was thinking about how the Prophet Nuh supposedly lived for 950 years, and how other prophets are reported to have lived for hundreds of years. And we have hadith saying that people before used to live longer but lifespans have gotten shorter.
But the thing is, our historical data shows the opposite to be true, and people's lifespans have been increasing. I guess my question more so relates to Prophet Nuh and his people, do we have to believe they all lived for hundreds of years? Is it possible that it was just him who was granted a long life time? Is it supposed to be a metaphor?
Any insight is greatly appreciated.
